Hello friends, I want to tell you about an upcoming series I’m doing called Five Familiar Decorating Troubles- Which do you want to overcome? Many times our decorating fears stop us from making progress or cause us to give up altogether so therefore we need to overcome them.  A lot of our decorating fears are as simple as getting started or maybe we want to overcome the fear of color but sometimes it’s a little more complex like furniture arrangement and flow these are some of the decorating fears that keeps us up at night.” OK maybe it’s not keeping us up at night” but who don’t want to rise above the fear and conquer their decorating woes?  Friends I want to help you rest easy, what may seem like decorating troubles at the moment I’m here to let you know next week I’m dedicating a whole week on the series Five Familiar Decorating Troubles- What to do about it?  So without further ado here are the five familiar decorating troubles we will overcome next week starting Monday July 2^nd– Friday July 6 

1). Getting Started

Believe it or not many people have a hard time getting started and that’s with lots of things. Many times it’s hard just to put words on a page but once you get started you can’t and won’t shut up- like me!!! So with that being said it’s sometimes hard to get started when it comes to decorating maybe because of fear, you don’t know where to start or maybe because you think you can’t so you just don’t start at all. ? 2). Striking the right balance- While decorating do you have trouble balancing out a room? do  things looks sort of uneven or should I say a bit lopsided? Stick around for the upcoming series on Decorating Troubles what to do about it!!!

  3). Placement, furniture arranging – is furniture arranging your decorating trouble? You just don’t have a clue where to put all that furniture? Stick around for the upcoming series on Decorating Troubles what to do about it!!!- Furniture placement

4). How to use the right color- Color is big, huge even. Lots of people are stuck when it comes to color. What color should I choose how color will affect the feel in this room, should I just use one color throughout or should I just keep the walls white? This is one of the leading questions as a designer that I get asked all the time. What color should I choose? Stick around for the upcoming series on Decorating Troubles what to do about it!!! -

Masculine Living rooms

Decorating for a man can involves creating a space that is masculine and bachelorism, most men like to prove how manly they are so a lot of times most men will lean more to the dark side of the color wheel. Pinks and pastels are normally out of the question, as a designer I can respect that but what happens when there is a woman in that mix. How do you create a space for him and also keep her happy? Friday's Runway Decorate Week 6

Friday's Runway Decorate Week 6 WOW!!! consistent is the key (Key Interiors by Shinay  that is :)  No just kidding we made it to another week of runway decorate and were still going strong with the beautiful runway models that inspire our beautiful interior designs check it out and see how this weeks inspiration inspire.

OK if this runway model don't look like she just walked right out of this room I don't know what or who does!!  WOW

This room actually looks like the runway model beyond the colors just looking at the length of the chandelier and how tall the runway-model stands and not to mention how the runway model is wearing that hat that mirrors the canopy over the bed 

Taking you back -Waaaay back!!! Well! There were models back in the day you know!!! So let’s take a look at this room that looks a lot like the models in the photo beside it. The guy model with his yellow pants "well I don’t know about that but I guess those were the days". Look how the yellow pants mirrors the chairs and the pillows in the interior room and check out the beautiful tufted pink chairs that resembles the model that’s laying on the ground shirt Wow even back then interior designers were inspired by runway

Color Crush- Green

Well here I go again Crushing on a color and what color am I crushing on now? That's right the color green but not any green dark vibrant green. Check out these beautiful green interior rooms decors.

 I have to express my feelings about this room. When I first saw this room I knew that I was crushing hard on green. I absolutely love this room check out the green window coverings and that lovely green chair I am in love with this crush!!!

The tufted green sofa is just amazing  I love the color green the sofa is wearing!! This is what I was talking about when I said vibrant green. I just love it

 

The green in this sofa is more like a olive color and I think its beautiful with the beautiful blue and white pillows with the white chair and blue and white pillow this fits right in with my color crush blue and green

WOW!!! is this a burst of the color green!!!!  This room is amazing, one will think this is to much green but as you can see the interior designer knew what he/she were doing when this room was planed. The color is balanced so nicely with just enough of blue in the rug which helps this color work. I am truly crushing on this room. Oh by the way I love the wooden sofa the craftsmanship on it is nothing less than amazing

How cute I know a teenster will love this beautiful room

Now what can I say about this green bath!!! This is a work of art. The designer wasn't afraid to use all the green on the walls and the floors because he/she knew that it will balance once the white was added with the tub and vanity very nice.

What a relaxing space to sit and read a book but how about them green window coverings along with the green wall. What a crush!!!

Lovely room with the different tones of green stripes. Beautiful!!!

Let’s bring the outside in with this beautiful burst of green forest wallpaper. This room had me crushing all day long. This is very striking!!!

Normally when you think of flowers on window coverings I'm sure you think of grandma's house but not in this room these flowers are seeing a new day in the living room. I guess what goes around comes back around. Love it

Friday's Runway Decorate Week 5

Check out this weeks Friday's Runway Decorate We are going to shimmer it up with beautiful colors and textures check out this weeks runway inspirations.

Check out this runway model with her beautiful purple and gold color dress and looking at the living room you can see.that the colors are right on

What a bold color the runway model is wearing that loud yellow color with a hint of gold shining through in the belt. when you look at the rooms interiors you can see the coffee table is making a statement with the hint of the rusted gold shining through in the wheels. You can clearly see that both interior designer and runway designer is making a bold statement. I just love it!!!

Now what can I say about the Gucci runway inspiration!!! Hey this is full of texture and casual elegance love the leather and the grays and brown and the grass cloth on the walls this room is beautiful on all levels

Friday's Runway Decorate Week3

So it’s Friday and you know what that means!!! Friday's Runway Decorate. This is week 3. Should I say “the interior designers are rockin the runway “Well OK their very inspired? Check out this week’s Runway inspirations.

This is how you get bold with it! The runway model is rocking a bold orange skirt with a bold purple blouse and the shoes are just hot. This leave's the interior designer no choice but to rock the bold and I love it. This designer didn't waste any time with bold in this room. The designer went for it by putting the orange on the walls and let the contrast of the purple chairs take a front seat.   This room looks like it walked right off this runway model.

  OK I confess were just getting bold with it on Fridays Runway Decorate3 is this room bold or what? But look at the runway model check out that hat and that sweater BOLD and chic. I love how the interior designer modeled the sweater but instead of Horizontal Stripes the designer used vertical stripes how clever I love this room I cant say enough about it. Look at the drapes down the bookcase wow!!

This runway model was made for this room. I think this model looks exactly like the room. Look at the doors in this room with their Bold colors yellow and green. Wow I love it!!
